Storebror - Big Brother

£250.00

A Limited Edition Print run of Seven with One Artist’s Proof.

Printed on 312gm Cotton Rag Smooth Fine Art Paper at 300dpi with exceptional colour gamut and D-Max for a breath-taking print. Dimension: 329mm by 483mm (A3+paper) with a 10mm white boarder.

The Story

Originally a WWII TID-class tug, Storebror (meaning "Big Brother") migrated to the Norwegian fjords before returning to the South Coast as a high-powered industrial workhorse. Now moored at Kendal Wharf, she serves the aggregate and concrete industry, proving that even eighty-year-old steel still has a vital job to do in a modern world.

The Style

The image features a signature painterly treatment with heavy textures and sweeping green strokes that isolate the vessel. This artistic overlay draws the eye to the tug's weathered details while keeping the industrial background in a soft, atmospheric haze.

Ideal For

  • Industrial Heritage Galleries: Perfect for collections focusing on the persistence of vintage machinery.

  • Local History Displays: Ideal for Hampshire-based maritime exhibits centred on Havant and Langstone Harbour.

  • Editorial Pieces: A strong visual for stories about the unsung infrastructure behind the construction and aggregate industries.

Description

A textured, artistic photograph of the tug boat Storebror moored at a wharf off Harts Farm Way. The ship’s white bridge and rusty hull are highlighted against a background of concrete silos, with the precise GPS coordinates 50°50'43.1"N 1°00'03.6"W anchored at the bottom.
